Dance Like No One Is Watching

Dance is something I rarely do. I am way too self conscious and I have NO rhythm. I'm afraid I have to blame the lack of finesse on my fathers side of the family. He can't dance either. My mother and both sisters dance and in fact love doing so. On my wedding day my father and I muddled through the father daughter dance. He told me to let him lead! I told him it was my wedding day and he needed to follow me. I lead. Nothing remarkable, just a dance a Daddy and his little girl would share. A sentimental dance nonetheless. I wonder will I worry less when I am eighty than I do at forty-nine. I hope one day I will dance like no one is watching. I hope it's soon. I hope with age comes wisdom. When I am eighty I will look cute dancing. Sad, but that is likely when I will begin to dance.
